On Nov. 16, the curtain went up on the Children’s Theatre of Winnetka’s fall production of “Oliver!” The Tony-award winning musical is an adaptation of the novel “Oliver Twist,” written in 1857 by Charles Dickens, as a scathing rebuke of child practices in Victorian-era England.
