It’s that time of year when one expects to see pumpkins, skeletons and spiders — but an entire coven of witches on their bicycles? Only in Winnetka.

This year will mark the 10th annual ride of the Winnetka Witches, a group of locals who will spend Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, visiting retail shops, the fire and police departments, and local schools on their bikes and in costume, all in the name of spreading witchy fun and raising funds for the nonprofit social service agency Casa Central.
