It has been a number of years since Loyola's boys swimming and diving team won a state team trophy.

Twenty four to be exact.

That year the Ramblers took third place at the state meet. According to the IHSA, the only other team trophy the team has won in program history was in 1989 when it took second in the state.

Well the Ramblers can now add another one to the trophy case, as they claimed second place in the 2020 state meet, scoring 135 points Saturday, Feb. 29, at Evanston. The point total was two short of state champion St. Charles North's title-winning 137 points.
